WineDater is a wine tasting event for singles. It's a bit like speeddating but a little more classy.  You'll have the chance to meet like-minded people and enjoy some great wines in a comfortable environment.

Obviously, the price of each event will depend on type, (e.g. champagne or light wines) and venue, typically from £30. We're not sure how much you'd spend on meeting so many new people and trying such great wines but we're confident that this is great value and then there's WineDater's special offers only available to members.  You can register with Winedater here. 

WineDater only works with good quality venues, the sort you're used to.  When you arrive you will be greeted by your host and introduced to other WineDaters over a drink before the start of the main event.

When everyone's arrived and warmed up, we give a brief overview on   
how professionals taste wine so don't worry of you're a novice.  Remember, it's simply a great way to have fun and try wines you wouldn't normally taste. 

  
The format will follow the success of our recent events - you'll be in small

groups, changing for each wine so you'll get to meet everybody. For your entertainment (and of course education!), WineDater's hosts will battle it out to convince you that their palate is right - you'll have to decide who is telling the truth and who is bluffing.  The WineDater who gets the most right wins a bottle of Champers. 

You'll have around 10 minutes with each group so you have the chance to get to know each other as well as the wine. 

What with changing seat, nattering, tasting and bluffing and event usually takes around 2 hours after which the custom seems to be to move into the bar from some more giggles and flirting.  Great!

After the event you will log onto the WineDater website and complete the online matching form. Here you tick all the dates that you liked and are interested in contacting again and see which of your dates have submitted their answers. Of course, this is when you hear that they like you!

One of the best things about WineDater is that it is a social network keeping you all in touch with each other, if you wish!! 

Once you've finished the dating event you'll complete an online matching system where you and the other WineDaters will indicate the people you want to see again.  If he or she does, then you'll hear from WineDater and have a profile and message board to share with each other.

Then the real flirting can begin…
