  • Harrison’s, Balham – Wednesday 20th August
Surprisingly there are still a few places left at the WineDater event in Balham next Wednesday, 20th August – it can only be due to summer?! This is the Rick Stein (!) backed sister bistro/bar to Sam’s in Chiswick – up for numerous awards this year. Wines will be top quality, as usual, and the evening is guaranteed to get juices flowing. Last tickets available at: www.WineDater.co.uk/events.aspx
 
  • Artisan & Vine, Clapham Junction – 30th September
It’s an early heads up but this new bar’s commitment to local food and wines (yes, UK!) is already proving a hit. The owner, Kathryn, is as passionate as WineDater to get peeps meeting and tasting only from the top drawer. Again – tickets available at www.WineDater.co.uk/events.aspx or just pop in for a drink when you’re in the neighbourhood.   
 
WineDater Online Dating
 
You’ll notice a new taste on the menu at www.WineDater.co.uk We’ve teamed up with some online dating buds so you can wink (etc), chat and arrange to meet loads of people online. We’ve lost track of members but it’s 10,000 plus!

WineDater Pétanque Match – Review
 
WineDater and members had a right old laugh at the pétanque pitch at Hays Galleria, SE1, just last week.  Eight teams battled it out over a few bottles of great wines accompanied by paella and watched by countless lost tourists.

In the end, The Frenchmen saw off last year’s winners, The Funeral Directors, and claimed victory
in a tight final against Kerplunk. The challenge was laid down for a rematch later in the year!   Click here to see photographs of the evening

The WineDater team went nuts and jumped from 10,000 feet on a tandem skydive for charity last month, part of a group who raised more than £20,000 for charity.
